The Boston Tap: A Great British Pub Reborn in the Heart of Boston Spa
Boston Spa’s much-loved local is raising a glass to a new chapter - as The Boston Tap, formally known as SALT Boston Spa, prepares to open its doors after a tasteful refurbishment on Thursday 30th October from 9am.
After a tasteful and transformative refresh, The Boston Tap will celebrate everything that makes the British pub special – great beer, delicious food and good company. Blending modern comfort with traditional charm, The Boston Tap combines warm wood tones, rich Lincrusta wall panelling, Ossett Brewery’s heritage wallpaper and inviting corners to recreate the feel of a true community local.

This isn’t just a refurbishment, it’s a heartfelt return to proper pub values, with a few modern touches to make it even better. We’ve brought back the comfort and traditional charm that people love and can’t wait to see people making memories here once again.”
Beer lovers are in for a treat. The Boston Tap will proudly showcase an impressive line-up of Ossett Brewery cask ales, including Ossett Blonde, White Rat and Silver King, alongside a rotating selection of external guest cask beers. You’ll also find a fantastic range of craft beers from SALT Beer Factory and the RAT range - with favourites such as Jute, Huckaback and Hell Rat lager, complemented by a variety of rotating guests from both breweries. Whether you’re a fan of traditional hand-pulled pales, hop-forward IPAs or crisp, refreshing lagers, there’s something on tap for every taste.
And don’t worry, The Pie Hole is here to stay! The much-loved kitchen will continue serving its delicious pies and peas, morning pastries, lunchtime sandwiches and grazing boards.
We’re also proud to serve a carefully curated wine selection from Barrique Fine Wines, along with speciality coffee from Dark Woods, adding even more reasons to stop by and make yourself at home. The perfect pit stop for everything from a relaxed morning catch up to an evening wind down.
There’s more to enjoy than just great food and drink. Start your weekend right with live music every Friday and Saturday from 8pm, carefully selected to create the perfect atmosphere. Test your wits at our weekly pub quiz every Thursday from 7.30pm, or unwind with a relaxed afternoon of classic board games - perfect for a rainy day or a cozy get-together.
